Blue Butterfly Antioxidant Latte Recipe

Updated: Apr 28, 2022

Are you looking for a delicious afternoon pick-me-up, but without the caffeine? This Blue Butterfly Antioxidant Latte is a refreshing alternative to matcha that won’t keep you up all night.

Blue butterfly pea flower powder comes from vibrant blue flowers that typically grow in Southeast Asia. It has been empirically studied and found to contain anthocyanins (antioxidants), which help reduce inflammation, boost the immune system, and can help improve memory & reduce stress.

Unlike green match powder, this magical blue dust does not contain caffeine. So it would make an excellent afternoon or evening drink for those who are caffeine-sensitive (like me)!

Also, it's beautiful to look at and the color changes from a bright blue to a deeper lilac when you add lemon juice to it! This powder can be used in a variety of recipes to impart a blue hue to your cooking.

Here is the recipe you need for the perfect summer drink:

I also used Silk unsweetened almond milk for the nutritional calculations.

This recipe can be made vegan, gluten-free, low-sugar or low-glycemic, and paleo, depending upon the products you use. Please check the labels to be sure!
